Here is a resume of my outreach events for 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011 in date order.

25 February 2014 Instituto de Sorbas [Sorbas secondary school] I visited the school and gave two classes to the students [ages 14 to 18 years] on the Moon, Earth and Sun interaction and solar telescope observation. Two one and a half hour back to back lessons in Spanish language only thoroughly enjoyed it but very taxing on my mental concentration. Hopefully lots more similar events to come? Photos to follow.

7 January 2014 an 8 minute on BBC Radio Sheffield Paul Walker show re the forthcoming BBC Stargazing Live events.

29 January 2012 - Stargazing live event at Cabo De Gata camp site, Almeria Spain. I am pleased to say that we had over 80 people attend the evening, the weather was great with the Sun putting on a show of large prominences and filaments. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant followed by my presentation. We the had six observing stations set up outside for the night sky including telescopes, spotter scopes and large binoculars on tripods. Thanks also to Peter for showing his astro-photos and bringing his green lazer along to point out the stars and constellations. This was a fun evening and well received event and thank you to every one that attended. I would like to say a special and huge thank you to Astrid upper center [left in photo] for all the help in translating for our German friends. Best regards  Andy Devey.

January 2012 here I was able to help a sixth grade pupil Samantha kim with her Solar Science project. This was described by her teacher as an outstanding presentation. There is now a planned solar outreach event at the school. I am sure that if in future years should Samantha choose a career in science then the scientific community will certainly benefit from her input. I am just pleased that I was able to help a little with one of my sunspot photos!

Brilliant job there Samantha and very best wishes  Andy Devey
